What is EdgeTwin?

EdgeTwin acts as an IoT edge gateway API. It connects your diverse, field-deployed sensors and devices to the EdgeTwin ecosystem by acting as an intermediary that normalizes raw telemetry data.

Ingest Data

It listens for raw data via HTTP Webhooks or actively subscribes to external 3rd-party MQTT brokers to pull data in real-time.

Map & Normalize

It applies customizable Mapping Profiles using JSONPath to extract critical metrics from unstructured JSON payloads, creating a strict, normalized format.

Broadcast

It republishes the clean, normalized data to its own embedded high-performance MQTT server, making it ready for downstream EdgeTwin digital twin services.

Simulate (CSV)

It can ingest historical sensor data from local CSV files and replay it as if it were live telemetry, enabling simulation without active hardware.

Visualize & Scrub

It offers a web-based 3D digital twin viewer with an interactive timeline slider, allowing you to pause live data and scrub backward in time.
